August 6-8, 2021

Shakespeare
The annual Stratford on the Avenue Theatre Festival is a production of the Stage Left Theatre Company, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization comprised of local individuals dedicated to providing a variety of theatre opportunities to the community and, eventually, hosting educational workshops and children's theatre events. This year's festival is scheduled for Friday, August 6th through Sunday, August 8th. Friday and Saturday performances begin at 7pm and the Sunday performance begins at 2pm.

The event is held at Rotary Park (formerly City Park) in downtown Ludington and features classical play performances by the likes of Shakespeare, Molière, Wild, etc. The 2020 event was canceled due to concerns surrounding the COVID-19 virus. The 2021 event will include a classic performance of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night and an abridged, comedic adaptation of Julius Caesar.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets for the show.

Tickets are generally $7 in advance at EventBrite.com and $10 at the gate.

There are also t-shirts for sale and all proceeds benefit upcoming Stage Left programs like their Youth Theatre Project, acting workshops, and educational scholarships.
